Ms. M is a in her 20's and the mother of 3 young children. She also runs a daycare business. She wanted to do a boudoir session to help her along her self-love journey. Here is what she said after her shoot:
“I decided to do a boudoir session because I was referred by a friend who did a boudoir session, and I wanted to do this to get back to my roots of loving me and appreciating me. Before I came in I was feeling a little nervous. You can look online all you want, but the feeling before you come in is not the same as when you walk in the door and are pampered. So I was a little nervous, but I was also very excited. I was worried about looking at myself in a different light…because it’s not something you just go out and do everyday, so it was unfamiliar territory.
The day of my photo session I felt very relaxed and pampered, and I appreciated all the attention to detail so it was really nice.
When I saw my photos I cried. It was a very emotional experience seeing myself like that. I have never looked at myself in this light. I don’t have words to describe how I feel…I loved all of it and I would do it again and again and again!!!
I would tell any woman thinking about doing a session that she has to do it. I feel like this is an experience that every woman has to have for herself." ~ Ms. M
Ms. P is a mother from Malaysia in her late 40's. She has been working on getting in shape this last year, and she wanted to celebrate where she is now! Here is what she said:
"I wanted to do a boudoir session because it’s something that is totally new to me. Back home we don’t do things like this. I’m close to 50 years old, and I think I am at my best shape that I could be. Especially during the pandemic because I do work out, so I wanted to capture my body before I get even older.
Before my photo session, I felt very nervous because I am a very camera shy person. I don’t know what to do with my hands and my legs. I don’t know how to pose for pictures so I worried. I was very nervous but I was also looking forward to it because I just wanted to see myself in a different way because it’s not something you see every day. I think it’s a good way to capture my best self right now at this moment and also to remind myself to love yourself.
The day of my session, I came in the early morning and everything felt great. Niki was very friendly and so was Diana. We just talked while we did my makeup and I felt very relaxed. It wasn’t like we were doing a job. It was like we are friends and doing something meaningful and exciting. So at that time I felt very relaxed. Niki really helped me a lot fo feel comfortable and not so worried about myself.
When I saw the photos, I never thought I could be like this. Especially there were a lot of poses that I have never done in my whole life. I do look good, and I’m happy that I can see myself in a different way! I feel sexy, confident and happy.
My advice to anyone thinking of doing a boudoir session is go ahead and do it…don’t think too much. Be confident and believe in yourself!" ~ Ms. P
Ms. J is a grandmother in her 60's. She wanted to do something special for herself because she has spent much of her life as the caregiver for her family members. Here is what she said:
“I came in for my boudoir session because I was one of your Boudoir Giveaway winners. I wanted to do something special for myself. I’ve spent most of time the last few years caring for other people and I just wanted to do something for me. I’ve never done anything like this before and I didn’t want the photos to be too revealing. I was a bit nervous about how I would look because I’m not used to being in photographed. I was surprised by how much I liked the photos. I look beautiful and sexy and confident!”
