“It’s my 7 year wedding anniversary, and I’ve always wanted to do a boudoir shoot. I was feeling anxious because my body is not where I want it to be or perfect, but I’ve been working out. "I came in for a boudoir shoot because I wanted to document and celebrate my body where it is today. My husband’s birthday was coming up, so that was an opportunity to do it, but it was really for me.  I’ve never really liked my body, and I wanted to celebrate it a little bit more, especially after having two kids. 

I was most nervous about finding the right outfits, but after I talked with Niki, I felt better. There was a lot of material to look through, and I felt excited about the shoot. We had a ton of fun the day of the shoot…I felt really sad leaving because we got along so well. I can see looking at the pictures how I felt during the shoot. I felt really good, and it went really quickly.

Before I came in, I was extremely nervous. I’ve always been very self conscious, so it was definitely nerve racking to come in. As soon as I stepped into the studio that all completely changed. I was nervous about having these types of images of myself being taken. My partner told me to be out of my head and enjoy the process. So I left my negative thoughts outside and just enjoyed being in the poses and the different outfits, and that totally helped. No matter how nervous I was when I walked in, as soon as I met Niki I felt better. Talking with Niki and Diana during hair and makeup helped calm my nerves, and Niki was constantly checking in with me which made the process fun! During the actual photos themselves, it was nice to be able to leave the creativity part to Nikki because I trusted her vision. As soon as I was finished with the photo shoot I was so excited and happy. I told my partner how much I wished he could see the photos, and we were counting down the days until we could see them! The photos came out way better than I could have anticipated. I loved having the prints and the ordering process helps with being able to choose your favorite photos. “I wanted to do a photo session for Valentine’s Day for my partner. Before I came in I was super nervous…I didn’t want to do it. I was nervous about my outfits and I’m not photogenic. I’m awkward in front of the camera, and I’m super hard on myself so that’s what I was nervous about. Once I got to the studio I was fine. I was also nervous about seeing the photos. "I came in for myself and my husband as a gift. I’ve always had body issues, and now I’m feeling more comfortable with myself. And I wanted to have a gift for my husband. I was nervous before I came in which goes back to my own body issues. Being around other people and exposing myself is uncomfortable. The day of the shoot I felt really good. I was really comfortable, and I felt so pampered. It was really nice to be able to chat with Niki and Diana during hair and makeup.

I was nervous about seeing my pictures but also excited to see how the session actually went. I was blown away when I saw my photos on the screen. I love them and wanted to keep them all! "I came in for a shoot after I broke up with my boyfriend. My friend had told me how self-invigorating her shoot was. I was nervous before my shoot. “I’ve been on a self-love journey for the past year, and the photo session aligned with the anniversary. This is a period of my life where I’m actually healthy and happy, so it seemed like a great idea to celebrate. I was really excited before the shoot. I was nervous about my body before I came in. I felt really good once I arrived for my photo session. I loved the makeup artist and the whole feel was very calming and relaxing. I was nervous about seeing my photos. I’m not photogenic at all, and I didn’t know how it would interpret in the images and especially since my body is not the same. I had no clue what to expect.
